Introductory to Mastering Your Machine Club.
Calling all new owners of a Husqvarna Viking Designer EPIC 2, Designer EPIC, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Sapphire 85, or Designer Brilliance 80 machine – this club is for you! We want to keep the world sewing and foster the joy that comes from meeting with like-minded people in a supportive environment to really use our machines. We will explore the many features within our Husqvarna Viking machines and in class create projects designed to teach us more about these wonderful machines. Some of the projects may take more than one month to complete as there are many aspects of your machine we will use when making our projects. Some of the projects may require the use of optional accessories and feet or the purchase of a design (s) from the mySewnet Library.

This Club meets every month starting in February 2025 for 10 sessions on the 1st Friday of the month from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 P.M. Cost will be $240.00 or if someone wants to sign up for a single project the cost would be $75.00 per class session. Friday class: Feb 7, Mar 4, Apr 5, May 2, Jun 6, Jul 11, Aug 1, Sep 5, Oct 3, Nov 7.

“Springtime!” Towel
This month’s project will introduce you to the Design Shaping feature of our machines. We will also use the Group/Ungroup feature as we create our design elements. The use of the built in Embroidery Fonts can be used to customize your project. We will explore the Color Edit features on your machine and all of the icons on the machine used to create this project. I will demonstrate how to create a phrase using the word “Springtime!” as an example but you can customize your project with a phrase of your choice. You then have the option of embroidering the design on the bottom of a dish towel such as I have done with the class sample.

| Instructor Bio: | Kathy Smith Kathy began teaching machine embroidery classes part time at Patty's Sewing Center in 2012. Her quest for knowledge of all things sewing and embroidery began many years earlier when she purchased her first Husqvarna Viking sewing and embroidery machine. Once Kathy retired from her second career in 2016, she was able to devote more time to teaching a variety of classes at Patty's. She enjoys teaching and sharing her passion for machine embroidery with others. Kathy completed the Jenny Haskins Online Academy of Accredited Tutors in 2011. |
