This class is for EPIC 2, EPIC 1, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Sapphire 85 or Designer Brilliance 80 Machine Owners who want to learn more about the features of their machine but do not want to bring their machine and supplies to class. This class format will be lecture/demo. During class you will be provided the technique handout for that month in addition to a handout for a project using the technique. In class the technique and exercise in the technique workbook will be demonstrated. We will walk thru the project using the techniques and show other samples using the technique.
Our customers have asked for it and HV has delivered – a technique workbook with specific projects for the HV Top of the Line Machines. In addition to the workbook exercises that will be lecture/demo, you will be provided a handout for a project that uses that technique. Our students will see the practical application and why that technique is a benefit to their sewing. We will start with basics and build upon our skills. The project will not use the exact exercise that was in the workbook but will use that technique; this will reinforce what we learned in the workbook. Some chapters will be focused on sewing features; icon knowledge, exclusive stitch techniques, and programming to name a few. Some will be focused on embroidery features like; Design Shaping, Design Applique, Color Edit, Design Positioning and more.
Attendees will receive the workbook pages for the chapter we are reviewing in class. Students are encouraged to build their own workbook using these pages and exercises.

Chapter 3 Techniques Workbook – Advanced Icon Knowledge
In our class this month (April) we will continue our in-depth exploration and review of the top features within our Top-of-the-Line Husqvarna Viking Designer sewing and embroidery machines. Chapter 3, Advanced Icon Knowledge, reviews the various icons available to us on our touch screens that make your embroidery designing quicker and easier. In this technique, you will learn about Touch & Hold, different elements of Arrange, and the difference between Resize and Scale. Once you become familiar with these icons, you will find many opportunities to use them to save time so you can design and embroider even more! The chapter handout and a handout for a project that uses some of these techniques will be provided in class.
