This club will start meeting in February and will be held every month for 10 months on the 1st Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Calling all Husqvarna Viking Designer Epic 2, Designer Epic, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Sapphire 85, and Designer Brilliance 80 Machine Owners – this club is for you! We want to keep the world sewing and foster the joy that comes from meeting with like-minded people in a supportive environment to really use and master our machines. We will continue to explore the many features within our Husqvarna Viking machines and create projects designed to teach us more about these wonderful machines. Some of the projects may take more than one month to complete as there are many aspects of your machine we will use when making our projects. Some of the projects may require the use of optional accessories and feet or the purchase of a design from the mySewnet Library.
Hello everyone!
In our class this month (April) we will continue to explore and review the top features within our amazing Husqvarna Viking sewing and embroidery machine. The designs and directions for this bag have been available in our HV machines for a while but may have been somewhat intimidating to try on your own before now. This project provides an opportunity to use the Majestic Hoop (360 mm x 350 mm) and apply what we learned last month using the cutwork needles to create the cutwork designs for this “leather” bag. In our April class, we will embroider the front of the bag and cut out the bag lining and remaining pieces for the bag. We will construct the bag in our May class. In the class sample, white vinyl was used as the fabric behind the cutwork designs which creates additional stability for the bag. You could also elect to use the stitch out to make a more traditional tote bag – the choice is yours!
