930-1230pm PART 1 Sewing/Embroidery Machine Basics: This
class features the familiarity and use of the sewing side of the machine. While learning the features, accessories,
manipulation of icons, the use of the exclusive sensor systems, and decorative stitches, students will participate in practice
of basic sewing techniques that utilize the decorative & practical features of their individual machine. Programming
of decorative stitches/alphabets, fabric, threads, needles, and maintenance will be addressed.
Supplies: For each class, check
your email for the part being taken on that reminder message and bring the following accordingly: *Sewing
machine, power cord, foot pedal, accessories, and books that came with the machine. *Basic sewing notions: scissors,
clippers, pins, etc. *Sewing thread and a spool of embroidery thread and embroidery bobbin thread *Pencil/paper
for taking notes
*USB Stick that came with the machine. *Cord that connects computer with the machine (came with the machine)
March 17, Saturday, 130-4pm PART 2 Embroidery Machine Basics: This class features the
familiarity and use of the embroidery side of the machine. Where applicable, students will have practice in: the
use of icons, loading designs, correct hooping, embroidery, saving designs and design positioning. Basic stabilizers, needles,
threads and tools will be discussed. Supply List:
*Sewing/embroidery
machine, embroidery arm, hoops, package of embroidery/bobbin threads, stabilizers, material, and books that came with the
machine. *Basic sewing notion: scissors, clippers, pins, etc. *Pencil/paper for taking notes
*USB Stick that came with the machine. *Cord that connects computer with the machine (came with the machine)
March 10 130-4p April 7 930-1230p Communications/Embroidery
Machine Basics: Part 3 This class will continue addressing embroidery techniques such as design shaping that
are specific to the individual machines. In addition, students will learn how to set up the basics for communicating
with their machine and/or saving designs in the machine/USB Stick and the appropriate format to use with their machine.
Supplies: For each class, check your email for the part being taken on that reminder message and bring

if computers are unavailable or not working. *Sewing/embroidery machine, embroidery arm, hoops, package of embroidery/bobbin
